My name is Tyler James Williams, I'm an actor and Crohn's disease patient.
From 19 until 23, I was flaring on a weekly basis and just kind of pushing through it, and trying to hide it as best as I could.
Although a lot of the people around me kind of knew something was wrong. We just couldn't put a name to it.
I'd seen multiple doctors who just couldn't figure out what it was. They thought, you know, I was lactose intolerant. They thought that it was food allergies.
I need to cut out gluten, I need to do all these other things, but no one who could actually give it a name.
I checked into the hospital, so they removed six inches of my small intestine, and I thought that was it.
Great, we removed it, everything will be fine, and I'll go back to work. Little did I know it was just the beginning.
Three surgeries in three months and dropped forty pounds. And that's the reality of what Crohn's Disease can be.

Dei entrada no hospital, então removeram quinze centímetros do meu intestino delgado, e pensei que era isso.
Pensei: Ótimo, removemos, vai ficar tudo bem e vou voltar a trabalhar. Mal sabia eu que era só o começo.
Três cirurgias em três meses e perdi 18 quilos. E essa é a realidade do que a Doença de Crohn pode ser.
