A Nurse's 12-Hour Shift

I get to the hospital at 6:15 AM to start my 12-hour shift. I check my assignment to see how many patients will be under my care.
After that, I get a report from the night nurse. If she tells me any patients had episodes or flare-ups during the night, I prioritize assessing those patients first.
Throughout my shift, I make sure to chart all the details about each patient's care.
By early afternoon, I usually check the tests or paperwork that need to be completed for discharging patients.
Finally, before ending my shift, I give the evening nurse a report.
Chego ao hospital às 6h15 para começar meu turno de 12 horas. Verifico "minhas tarefas" para ver quantos pacientes estarão sob meus cuidados.
Depois disso, recebo um relatório da enfermeira da noite. Se ela me disser que algum paciente teve episódios ou crises durante a noite, priorizo a avaliação desses pacientes primeiro.
Ao longo do meu turno, certifico-me de registrar todos os detalhes sobre o atendimento de cada paciente.
No início da tarde, costumo verificar os testes ou a papelada que precisam ser concluídos para dar alta aos pacientes.
Finalmente, antes de terminar meu turno, dou um relatório à enfermeira da noite.
